  1. I think the Strokes should have been higher, that album is pretty amazing.

A lot of albums I think are good weren't on this list. :-(

  2. Well, that's the way these top 100 lists work, Peter. If I'd made it, there'd be a lot more jazz. This isn't a definitive list of the greatest albums in the history of the universe, it's just a bunch of stuff Chris recommends. Well done, Chris, I'll check out all this stuff.

  3. Chris DeCarlo is a loser, don't listen to him.

  5. Yeah, I mean, a lot of the music I wouldn't define as top 100, but, hey, I see what you're getting at ben.

  6. Yeah Ben hit the nail on the head, this is not a definitive list,it’s my personal favorites. And, no this is certainly not pussy music. Please name a “pussy” band and make a point in what you say. Peter, that Stokes album was indeed a memorable one, but it was just not top 101 material for me personally, for you perhaps it was. Oh and what albums did you think should have been on here that weren’t. dzvera: here’s some metal: Rage Against the Machine- Rage Against the Machine (1992), Glassjaw- Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence (2000), Tool- AEnima (1996), System Of A Down- Mezmerize/ Hypnotize (2005), Alice in Chains- Dirt (1992), Black Sabbath- Paranoid (1971), Metalica- Master of Puppets (1986), Deftones- White Pony (2000), Slayer- Reign in Blood (1986), Faith No More- Angel Dust (1992), Incubus- S.C.I.E.N.C.E. (1997), The Fall of Troy- Manipulator (2007), Helmet- Meantime (1992), Jane's Addiction- Nothing's Shocking (1988), Primus- Sailing the Seas of Cheese (1991), and Chimaira- The Impossibility of Reason (2003). All of those were on the list. And of course there was a significant amount of “metal” band in the honorable mention section. Though, there were some of my “metal” favorites that were completely unlisted. I just want to reiterate that this is not a list of the “101 best albums” but rather “my 101 favorite albums.” I am sorry if I wrote something different before, I also am sorry that I listed Incubus’ S.C.I.E.N.C.E. twice, I just noticed that now. But please, if you want to chat about other albums you think should have made the cut and why, then I’m all for that. But don’t just spew slanders, without intelligence. It should also be noted that whenever I make such lists I never repeat artists. Meaning only one album per artist will appear on the list. I do this so there will be more artists for people to check out. Thank you.

  7. Here's some that would have been on a list if I had made it:

    Daft Punk - Discovery
    Basement Jaxx - Rooty
    Dispatch - Bang Bang
Franz Ferdinand - Franz Ferdinand (its iffy, but I think they deserve at least honorable mention)
jack Johnson - On & On
The Pillows - FLCL OST (It's an actual album, I'm just not sure on teh actual name, since its Japanese)
The Postal Service - Give Up
The Strokes - Is This It?
They Might Be Giants - Apollo 18 (needs to be played on random, obviously.)
    The White Stripes - Elephant

Those are good in my book, so people should check them out.

Btw, google won't log me in, for some odd reason, but this is Peter

  8. Yeah, I like some of those bands. I am not a fan of either Franz Ferdinand or The White Stripes though. I don't think they're bad, I just could never get into them. I haven't heard of Basement Jaxx, Dispatch, and The Pillows, I'll have to check them out. Thanks.

  9. Well, Basement Jaxx is more house/techno, there big song is "Where's your head at?"
Dispatch is more acoustic guitar meets awesomeness, at least in my book, haha.
The Pillows is just an awesome Japanese band. If you've ever watched the anime FLCL, all the music is by the Pillows.
