WHS Wins Math Meet

The Wakefield High School Mathematics team recently won a meet at Nazareth Academy as the team scored 44 points. The highest scorer for WHS was sophomore Rex Lam. Lam had 10 points out of a possible 18. Other teams that participate in Wakefield's division are Nazareth Academy, Peabody High, Austin Prep, and Lynnfield High.

Math Team Loses By One Point

The WHS Math Team lost by 1 point in its monthly competition on Thursday night at Austin Prep. Wakefield had a 34-32 lead coming into the final team round, but were outscored by Lynnfield. The WHS came into Thursday's meet with a record of 2-0 so now the Mike Salvato and Andrew Luongo captained team falls to 2-1. Sophomore sensation Rex Lam was the leading scorer for WHS.

Math Team banquet

The Math Team banquet is scheduled for May 16th at Prince of Pizza at 6:00 p.m. The cost is $9.00. Please see Ms. Corbett or Ms. Zaramba to pay for the banquet.
