Morrissey Poem

The Boy With the Thorn in His Side (Morrissey)

First Time
At the Orpheum Theater
First Time
I attended a concert
On a SCHOOL NIGHT
First Time
I saw Morrissey!
Being one of my favorite singers
I adored his work with
The Smiths
And his Solo Career
The entire audience was
ESTATIC
Not Mopey
And
Emo
Like some critics think
We Went Wild
When our hero rocked into “Shoplifters of the World Unite”
Everyone was dancing
To the sounds of Rebellion

Kill Uncle

I heard Mr. Brennan utter the words "kill uncle" during a discussion of Hamlet so naturally I thought of the Morrissey album of the same name. Was Morrissey at all influenced by Shakespeare? Maybe.
