Priest Stole, Went On Gambling Binge

Every Sunday the parishioners of St Vincent Ferrer Roman Catholic church in Florida dropped their dollar notes into the collection plate, confident that the money would go straight to the church.

It did — but not in quite the way that they might have expected.

First it went into a hiding place in the ceiling tiles of the church in Delray Beach. Then it found its way into an offshore account, from where it was used to fund gambling trips to Las Vegas, lavish homes and even a mistress. More than a quarter of a million dollars was spent on a rare coin collection. - Timesonline.co.uk

Oh snap.

Husband/Wife Rob Students

Indianapolis police said a husband and wife team may be responsible for robbing dozens of students at gunpoint at four bus stops on Indianapolis' east side Thursday morning.

Indianapolis police were sent to several intersections in incidents that began just before 7 a.m., 6News' Jack Rinehart reported. Their first stop was in the 6100 block of East 40th Street."In that first robbery, the victim reported that lunch money had been stolen," said Indianapolis police Sgt. Matt Mount.

A few minutes later, police responded to 42nd and Ridgeview Drive, where students reported another robbery. - TheIndyChannel

Postal Worker Hoarded Mail

DETROIT — There were jokes and snickers at a Michigan post office when customers learned that an overwhelmed carrier had rented a storage unit to hide thousands of pieces of mail.

"I heard a couple of people come in and say, 'Can I pick up my mail — or is it in storage?"' said Annette Koss, the postmaster in Howell, 50 miles northwest of Detroit. "We just didn't understand it. It's such a stupid thing to do."

Jill Hull pleaded guilty Tuesday to deserting the mail, a misdemeanor. The case is rare but it happens: From North Carolina to North Dakota, carriers in recent months have been hauled to court for failing to fulfill their routes. - Fox News

The best thing she could come up with? "I was unable to deliver all the mail."
