SKA? Songs of the Week: September 17, 2007

As one Urban Dictionary put it best:

Definintion of Ska: Rich kids who learned the saxophone in 3rd grade, but aren't quite good enough to excel at any real music. This results in their non-talented band being almost good enough to impress all their little friends.

That, of course, is a direct shot to all the sucky ska bands in the Wakefield area. Sorry, Ben. And don't even let me talk about those dance moves........

Anyway, on to Songs of the Week (Ska and I.C.P. Free)

Alternative Rock - Morrissey - Suedehead
Merseybeat - The Searchers - Needles and Pins
Synth Rock - The Fixx - Red Skies At Night
Folk - The Nightwatchman - One Man Revolution
Indie Rock - Arcade Fire - Rebellion
Reggae - Peter Tosh - Free Ganja
Protopunk - Velvet Underground - Femme Fatal
