Mass. Prepares For Decriminalization

BOSTON - December 30, 2008 - The state is asking cities and towns to consider passing ordinances criminalizing the use of marijuana in public.

The request comes as a new Massachusetts law decriminalizing the possession of small amounts of the drug is poised to go into effect Friday.

Under a November referendum, possession of up to one ounce of marijuana is punishable by only a $100 fine.

The new law also decriminalizes hashish and hash oil. - WBUR
Every town in the Commonwealth will enact this except for Wakefield. Just kidding.

  1. Me: Kids, pot is just as dangerous as any other drug...even though it JUST got decriminalized...FUCK!

Kid: But if it's decriminalized, that means it's not that bad, right?

    Me: Well...yeah, I guess.

Kid: So why shouldn't I do it?

Me: Well, it's still bad for you, just not THAT bad.

Kid: So it gets you high.

    Me: Yep.

Kid: And it's not THAT BAD.

    Me: Yep.

Kid: That's it, I'm gonna smoke pot. Thanks.

Me: FUCK! How the FUCK am I supposed to do my job?
