The District IV DECA Conference turned out to be very successful as five WHS students placed first in their respective categories on Tuesday, December 16 at the Radisson Hotel in Chelmsford. The team of Nick Blauvelt and Kaela Petralia competed as a group in the Financial Analysis category and won gold. The team of Kristen D'Alelio and Charlie Doyle competed as a group in the Buying and Merchandising category and won gold. In the individual Accounting Applications category, Glen Maganzini won gold. The five will travel to the Copley Hotel in Boston for the three day State Career Development Conference held annually in March. The three other students who did not place will also compete in the State Conference, but as Quiz Bowl entrants.
