Tierney, delegation call for LIHEAP funding

WASHINGTON, D.C. – It may be warm outside but Congressman John F. Tierney (D-Mass.) and other Members of the New England Congressional delegation are already thinking about the dead of winter.
Tierney, along with his northeast colleagues, sent a letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, urging her to increase funding for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) to $9 billion in legislation this summer, perhaps a second economic recovery package.

Hopefully this can help those who can't afford heat.
