WAKEFIELD - It is a little after 10 o’clock in the morning and a string of second-graders file past James Boyd, principal of the Woodville School, on the way to their classroom.
“Good morning, Mr. Boyd,” says one child after the other in a tone befitting British boarding school students.
James Boyd stands tall among these school children. It’s evident in the respect given him and the smiles on their faces. Clearly, these children feel safe and secure with Mr. Boyd at the helm.
But all that will change at the end of the school year - June 30, to be exact - when he retires from a job he has loved.
This guy was principal at my alma mater, Montrose School, for a few years. May his retirement be enjoyable.
