Iraq update

BAGHDAD (AFP) — Insistent demands from the Iraqi government for a firm timetable for the pullout of foreign troops reflect huge pressure from its Shiite majority constituency in the runup to key provincial elections.

Ha! Timetable! As if Iraq knows what's good for...Iraq.

  1. Well, technically it should only be the Iraqis who have a say in the matter. No one else. We ask others' what to do with the situations, but not the people themselves, whom, based on polls (according to Chomsky) want the U.S. to stop intervening.
