I thought Chris posted this until I saw that you did, Andrew. A very fine selection and one of my favorite songs by the Minutemen (right up there with History Lesson Part 2)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I thought Glen posted it, or I that I forgot I posted it. Indeed, a great tune Andrew. I highly recommend you check out the documentary on them: We Jam Econo.
ReplyDeleteOf course, most people have heard this song instrumentally from "Jackass," but the majority don't know that it is by the Minutemen or that it even has vocals for that matter! Most don't know who the Minutemen are/were. Hell, I knew of them for quite some time and did not know they did this song! Even though lyrically the song is serious, I do think its sound fits perfectly with the show.

ReplyDeleteBtw, Andrew click out the band spotlights on the side. Glen and I have written about numerous great bands/artists, including none other than.... the Minutemen! I believe that was my second band spotlight... ahh brings back memories.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently in the process of uploading and editing our video on Chomsky and on We Jam Econo (separate Parts)
ReplyDeletewhat did the deleted thing say?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, that was me, Andrew. I deleted my own comment; I tried to get a link of my Minutemen Band Spotlight, but it didn't work. So, I just made another comment on all band spotlights.
ReplyDeleteOh, I thought some fruitloop had a problem with what I posted.
