WHS to hold hall of fame induction ceremony


WAKEFIELD - The First Annual Wakefield High School Hall of Fame induction ceremony, sponsored by the Wakefield High School Alumni Foundation, will be held this Friday, March 7, at The Lord Wakefield Hotel, beginning at 7 p.m.

Let's look at the inductees.
Inductees into the inaugural class of the WHS Hall of Fame include playwright Israel Horovitz, Arts; businessman John Lucey, Business; PAWS founder Esther Nowell, Community Service; Fire Department historian Murray Young who will receive his award posthumously for Community Service; retiring Town Manager Thomas Butler, Government; retired National Guard Colonel John Encarnacao, Military Service; Melrose physician Ron Sen, MD, Sciences; and retired WHS English teacher Diane Lind, Special Achievement.
