What a relief! After a quiet few days of activity on the opening of free agency, the Patriots are on the verge of making a big splash with receiver Randy Moss.
A contract agreement between the Patriots and Moss is imminent, according to a source with close ties to Moss. The deal is for three years and is worth $27 million.
The sides had been close since the start of free agency, having agreed on the overall value of the pact. The main sticking point was in the amount of guaranteed money included in the deal. - Boston Globe
