While races for the School Committee and Board of Selectmen have dominated the news in recent weeks heading up to Tuesday’s town election, there’s also a hotly-contested race for a three-year seat for Municipal Gas and Light Commissioner between incumbent John J. “Jack” Warchol and former selectman Kevin T. Haggerty.
Huh? They've dominated the news? Funny, the Item seems to have become a daily reminder that Wakefield is in a financial mess. Not that we're bitter about it or anything.
