I voted yesterday. You did not.

WAKEFIELD — In an election that saw no shockers in spite of an abysmal turnout of only 16.44 percent of registered voters, incumbent Betsy Sheeran and Patrick Glynn handily won seats on the Board of Selectmen. Assessor Sebastian (Yano) Tine held off the challenge of former assessor Edward Stone, Municipal Gas & Light Commissioner Jack Warchol turned aside the bid of former selectman Kevin Haggerty, and incumbent Christopher Callanan and newcomer Daniel Lieber won School Committee seats over longtime local activist Michael Conley.

16.44 percent?!? Come on, Wakefield!

  2. Well, whoever wins WILL affect the town more directly than whoever wins the presidency...
