Atonement took the top honor at the extremely short Golden Globe Awards, nabbing Best Picture (Drama), but no single film took home more than two awards.Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street deservedly won Best Picture, Comedy/Musical. Johnny Depp won for his performance. Otherwise, the winners were a bunch of movies and TV shows I've never seen.
I guess this means we can expect Atonement to win Best Picture at the Oscars. The last time a musical/comedy won Best Picture was Chicago. That's some bull! Stranger Than Fiction was the best movie I saw in all of 2006. Yes, even better than The Departed, or, as I call it, The Overrated.
