Martin Luther King Jr. died 40 years ago today

The 40th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. comes as a poignant reminder of the day the civil rights leader stood behind the pulpit at Holman United Methodist Church in Los Angeles and preached a Sunday morning sermon about "the meaning of hope."
What a great man.  What an undeservedly short life.
