É2.0 Is Here!

July 4
: I make my first e-mail to Ed Vo, the designer of É2.0.

August 31: Ed applies the finishing touches to É2.0.

September 1: Call it an Évolution: the Wakefield Étudiant expands into something greater.

From this point forward, your favorite homepage will not be located at Instead, this site will exist as a plain looking blog that houses an archive of every single post ever made. Also, the limitations of the internet do not allow for the classic É to be displayed in the domain name. Don't worry; there will be plenty of É on the new site.

In the event that the new server experiences difficulties, you are welcome to come back here. Changing back to É1.0 takes all of one minute so reverting remains a viable safety net. We don't expect any failure of that nature, so please enjoy the new site! For more information about 2.0 please visit the "About Us" section on the new site.

  1. i hope this isnt the actual site .... its lame/boring i liked the old one better, hopefully this isnt the finished product

  2. It's the same content...what don't you care for, the graphics? Are you having trouble navigating? The banner is different, the buttons are the same for the most part (just different color scheme/placement). Are you talking about the content? Their haven't been a lot of updates in the past few days. Please explain.

  3. its not as seperate, the scheme is a little blah and and i just doesnt grab my attention as much as the old one did. im not saying its bad, and i still read most of the articles on a daily basis, but i just feel like its not the same

  4. What happened to the Wakefield Etudiant Logo? The homepage doesn't tell you that you are reading the Etudiant. I like the old version better, its easier, user friendly. This one is quite boring, doesn't grab my attention as the other one did.

  5. How did the other grab your attention at all? It was just a simple default design.

Well the banner on the top says Wakefield Étudiant. The Wakefield Etudiant logo still exists and might be implemented into the banner soon. If you aren't satisfied with going to each of the categorized pages, you can just click on the blog and you have a modified version of É1.0.

  6. its still beige and boring, where the new one's homepage is nice but i mean its not what the Etudiant was, a simple user friendly news blog. nothing against the new design

  7. When I initially commented I clicked the "Notify me when new comments are added" checkbox and now each time a comment is added I
get three e-mails with the same comment. Is there any way
you can remove me from that service? Many thanks!
