Britain has frozen plans to withdraw about 1500 soldiers from southern Iraq this northern spring after last week's faltering effort to drive Shi'ite militias from Basra raised doubts whether the Iraqis were capable of maintaining security in the oil-rich region.
I guess the Iraqis aren't quite ready to take care of business without help from the...coalition.
