Remember this post Glen made a month ago? Well, ever since that post, we've been trying to make a print version of the Étudiant. Initially, we planned to make this print version a twice-weekly periodical, but then decided to just put together one special issue, just as a stunt to get more people over to the website. We met with Ms. Freedman and discussed this, and I've been keeping correspondence with her about the possibility of distributing the printed issue at W.H.S. Well, I talked to her on Friday, and she said the school can't help us promote our non-school sanctioned website. So this printed version of the Étudiant isn't going to happen, but that's alright. After all, more people HAVE been coming here. We've been promoting the site in many other ways, and it's worked splendidly. So, our seventy unique visitors, do us all a favor and tell all your friends to visit us!

It's said that the school won't let you guys publish. I mean, even put posters around. Your blog is way better than Spin.
ReplyDeleteI was keeping my hopes up for the printed version (I mean who doesn't want to be in a newspaper crew in your own school!)... =/ Oh well, I guess this posting on the blog should do.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the reason the school won't let you publish is because you allow hate groups to post on your blog. Just a though. Regulation of the material submitted is not a violation of First Amendment Rights.
