The Boston Red Sox defeated the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Sunday by the score of 9-1. A seven run, eighth inning attack was enough to secure a win for Curt Schilling (7.0 IP, 0 ER). Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz had one home run a piece in the game.
The Red Sox do not know as of right now who they will be playing on Friday night in the first game of the American League Championship Series. The Yankees currently hold a 5-3 lead over the Indians, who are currently leading that series 2-0. A Yankees loss, according to George Steinbrenner, will result in the firing of Joe Torre, a clubhouse fixture in New York for the past 11 seasons.
The result of the Yankees-Indians game will be posted!
